It's coming up quick! January 10 is our volunteer orientation (training and supper) for Deep Freeze.

We still need YOU!

There are a lot of different volunteer positions for all levels of experience and skill sets (there are even some indoor opportunities too!)

The come to the Alberta Ave Community Centre (9210 - 118 Ave) at 6:00 pm. (Enter the south doors and sign in). 

Enjoy pasta (with meat or vegetable sauce) by Chef Mary Ann and her team. Hear about this year's festival and meet the sculptors from the Netherlands.

Delight in the sounds of musician David Unsworth.

Remember the wonder of playing outside for endless hours in the winter? These magical memories are relived by young and old alike in the Ice and Snow Kingdom. Bring the children and enjoy the whimsy of olde tyme curling, go skating, play on the giant fantasy themed ice slide, and play the goofy outdoor ice games. It is an unforgettable, fun-filled winter wonderland, where new memories will be made.

Volunteer Dinner Success!

Volunteers - the heart & soul of our festival!

Yesterday evening we held a volunteer dinner for our winter-wonderful volunteers and it was a smashing success! 

80 Deep Freeze volunteers enjoyed Chef Mary Ann's Christmas turkey meal and the pumpkin pie absolutely amazing. The volunteers turned into elves making craft kits for the Deep Freeze family crafts!! Thank you elves!!

We also have pre-festival volunteer opportunities as well. We need carpenters, plumbers, handy men and woman next week Dec 16 - 24.
