Alicia Chevonne is a 23 year old nehiyaw woman from Treaty 6 land. She is a performer of many different dances including: woman's fancy shawl, the jingle dress dance, hoop dance and as well as contemporary. She learned to dance when she started walking and continue on with it as well as learning new styles along the way. She is a single mother of 2 beautiful children, Aurora and Alaric, who she teaches as well. She is thrilled to share her style with everyone. Thank you!

Calvin is a musical prodigy. Having received his first fiddle at the age of 8 and raised on Don Messer’s Jubilee, Calvin has never looked back. To date, he has composed over 800 tunes, many of which have become standard contest and dance tunes played across North America & Europe. His influence in the fiddle world is very evident. He has to his credit, 73 of his own albums & numerous music books of his original tunes. He has played on countless recordings of other artists. In 2010, Calvin was commissioned to compose 5 fiddle tunes (Fiddle Nation) for the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010 Opening Ceremonies to represent the various styles of fiddling our country has to offer. In 2011, he was inducted into the ‘North American Fiddler’s Hall of Fame. In 2023, he was inducted into the Country Music Alberta Hall of Fame. Calvin is very active in the teaching aspect of fiddle music and is touted by the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange Society as one of the driving forces behind the revitalization of fiddle music. Calvin makes his home in St. Paul Alberta where you will find his name on the ‘Welcome to St. Paul’ sign.

Zachary Willier is a métis and Country style fiddler who comes from High Prairie, Alberta but currently lives in Edmonton where he is performing at many different events all over and around the city. He has performed on stage with Natalie MacMaster at the Jubilee Auditorium, and was picked to represent Alberta as a junior showcase performer at the Canadian Grand masters virtual fiddle celebration. As well as fiddle he also sings in the old fashioned country western style and loves to bring back old songs when performing. When not on the road performing he enjoys practicing and collecting LP records.

The O’ Neills have lived in and around 118 Avenue since 2007 and take their name from the tome where much of their music originates, O’ Neill’s Music of Ireland. While their repertoire is firmly in the lands of the Gaelic & Euro Celts, influences from Scandinavia, the US, and French Canada round out their playlist. Fiddles, hardanger fiddle, banjo, guitar, accordion, great highland bagpipes, & vocals means their music is never dull and always dance-able. We are your local Celtic Ensemble!

Girlz with Guitarz is a trio consisting of two sisters and an aunt from the Gauthier family originating from the small hamlet of Plamondon in North Eastern Alberta. This bilingual group performs all genres as well as original compositions mainly influenced by country, folk and pop. With these 3 musicians, you will hear a whole range of instruments such as guitar, ukulele, banjo and harmonica however, it is their 3-part harmony that will delight you the most.

Girlz with Guitarz est un trio qui consiste de 2 sœurs et 1 tante venant de la famille Gauthier qui trouve ses origines à Plamondon dans le nord-est de l’Alberta. Ce groupe bilingue fait des interprétations de tous les genres ainsi que des compositions originales qui touchent surtout aux styles country, folk et pop. Lors d’un spectacle, ces 3 musiciennes vous feront entendre toute une gamme d’instruments tels la guitare, l’ukulélé, le banjo et la musique à bouche. Cependant, c’est leur harmonie à trois voix qui vous enchantera le plus.

The Diamonds Band consists of the following members (from right to left): Craig Repchuk (Lead Vocals, Accordion, and Piano), Katelynn Schutz (Violin), Rick Chomyn (Lead Guitar and Vocals), and Ihor Nedoshytko (Bass, Guitar, and Vocals). The band has been performing throughout Alberta for 18 years.

The Diamonds band is known far and wide for their snappy polkas, dreamy waltzes, beautiful foxtrots, traditional Ukrainian dance numbers, other ethnic music, rock ’n roll, Latin American and country music.

A night club dance, a wedding dance, a stage presentation, a banquet, or any type of party, “The Diamonds Band” will suit the type of occasion with their up-beat dance music.

All the band members are versatile musicians with many years of experience. Their sincere dedication and love of music is evident in the energy they bring to every performance. The Diamonds Band plays on a regular basis for dances throughout Edmonton and the province for audiences that keep on coming back for more.

Craig Repchuk - Accordion, piano, vocals- Craig has been playing the accordion since the age of six and professionally since the age of twelve when he began with the Checkmate Band and performed with them for eighteen years. He has also played with numerous other bands and for the past 20 years The Diamonds Band has been his passion to play the music he grew up listening to. Craig was inducted into the Canadian Ukrainian Music Hall of Honor and received the award at the 2017 Pysanka Festival. Craig likes to play all types of music and enjoys learning new songs and music.

Rick Chomyn – Lead, rhythm guitar, vocals- Rick started playing guitar at a very young age and has been passionate about making music from as far back as he can remember. Since his teen years, Rick’s sights have been set on playing in a band and entertaining people with his music. An accomplished guitarist/musician, he has played in an assortment of bands over the years and since 1983 has been the lead guitarist for local Edmonton band, The Playboys. In October 2016 Rick joined The Diamonds Band. Although Rick’s spectrum of interest of music genres is broad, his ethnic heritage sparks a particular passion for Old Time and Ukrainian music. Rick is a devoted family man and retired Locomotive Engineer but has no plan of retiring from playing music and entertaining people. After all, according to Rick “music is what feelings sound like”……..

Ihor Nedoshytko – Bass guitar, lead guitar, accordion, vocals: Ihor began his musical studies at age 6 on accordion with Edmonton violinist/accordionist, Stefan Maslij (Maslyee). He began playing weddings and dances at age 15 with local Ukrainian dance bands and musicians like Metro Radomsky. Ihor has studied jazz and classical guitar and has worked with local big bands like "The Edmonton Swing Band" & "The Trocadero Orchestra. Ihor is a retired music educator and has taught Junior High/High School Band, choir, elementary music including the Orff and Kodaly philosophies of music. He continues to facilitate "The Hawaiian Treasures Ensemble" originally formed by the late Edmonton steel guitarist George Lake.

The Ranger Creek Wranglers are a three piece acoustic band from the Edmonton area who write, compose and perform their own music. They also are very versed in performing several different styles of cover music, including many Francophone songs. 

The Ranger Creek Wranglers est un groupe acoustique de trois musiciens de la région d'Edmonton qui écrit, compose et interprète sa propre musique. Ils sont également très versés dans l'interprétation de plusieurs styles différents de reprises, y compris de nombreuses chansons francophones.

Brianna Lizotte is a fiddler currently living in Edmonton Alberta. She grew up in a household where music was played, whether it was from home videos or kitchen parties. At the age of 10, most of the musicians in her family passed away, so she took it upon herself to keep the music alive. This has led her to many opportunities such as competing twice in the Canadian Grand Masters, music festivals across Alberta, and traveling to Rome to support the Metis delegates during their meetings with the Pope in 2022.


Apart from performing, Brianna can be found teaching fiddle lessons, Metis history through music and dance workshops, and in studios recording for documentaries, EPs, singles, etc. Recently graduating from MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Music program, she looks forward to developing her voice within the Canadian music scene.

Chantal Marie began her musical career in Quebec in 1982, performing in many popular cafés and bistros. She is passionate about story songs linked to legends, Canadian and medieval folklore, and her musical influences include Francis Cabrel, Garolou, Michel Fugain, Gordon Lightfoot and Joan Baez. Chantal Marie's popularity in the community is due to her original interpretations of popular French-speaking music. Chantal Marie's vocals and guitar playing create a rich, harmonious sound, which pairs well with her 6 or 12 string Martin guitars. While living in Quebec, she continued to immerse herself in the world of French music, expanding her repertoire. In the mid-80s, Chantal Marie moved to Yellowknife to work in the Canadian Arctic on the Ice Route and continued to perform at various musical venues in Yellowknife and Inuvik. She brought French songs to a new, remote region, with guitarist/singer Robert Auger featured on the recording of the new album "Destinations". She also met John McGale, guitarist, singer and songwriter of the Offenbach group in 1983, and has remained in contact with him over the years.

Chantal Marie has already published “Roads, Paths and Tales” with “The Road Band” a collection of classic Canadian folk, French and Roots songs. We hope you enjoy the music of Chantal Marie and L'Onde Sonore. Please look for us on the club and festival circuit.

Daniel Gervais is a 2x Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion. He has a M.Mus in classical music from the University of Alberta. He plays a wide variety of styles ranging from Old Time and Celtic, to Gypsy Jazz and Classical. Some of his performance highlights include the 2011 London Olympics, international dance festivals in France, fiddle soloist with ESO for Canada 150 and fiddle soloist with the Regina Symphony Orchestra.

Originally from Cameroon, Ivan Touko moved to Edmonton in the summer of 2012 to attend the University of Alberta in a bilingual degree in Environmental Sciences & Conservation.

In his journey of finding a home away from home, Ivan deeply immersed himself in the Albertan community while dancing, volunteering and co-founding many student groups and projects in the Edmonton area. Ivan is now the recipient of Alberta's Top 30 under 30 award and the Founder & CEO of a few social enterprises such as La Connexional & BOM YEG. Being passionate about dance, Ivan also finds happiness in sharing his love for movements & community building through his open-level Afro Fusion Dance workshops.

Today, Ivan is excited to keep pursuing his entrepreneurial journey in Edmonton and is continuously looking at new opportunities, especially in the social innovation, & entertainment spaces. Ivan has now organized, curated and/or hosted over 80+ experiences in the Albertan region and is always interested in growing his network through his many passions and endeavors.

Janet Paskemin, is a Cree-Nakota singer and jingle dress dancer, a descendant of chiefs Mistahi- Maskwa and Poundmaker, the youngest daughter of 10 children and single mother of 4. Janet has been singing and recording music with her family drum group Sweetgrass Singers, since 1983, they were nominated for a 2018 Juno award in the category of Traditional Indigenous music.

A vagabond turned mailman, Jay Gilday has searched for himself in the depths of Folk, blues, traditional, rock and most recently soul music. The quest continues as Jay takes his experiences from the roads of Canada, the daily roller-coaster of work, family, and performance and weaves them into song. Jay’s live performance is executed with a trained voice and a passion to drive it backed up by a heavy hitting guitar, finger-style or flat-picked, your choice.

Julien loves to wear hats! In fact, he wears many hats in his life. He is an avid teacher, a versatile musician and an actor, producer and director for the Musicalmania! troupe that performs across Alberta. His band Angelitos writes songs in English, French and Spanish and they play music that makes you dance!

Julien aime porter des chapeaux! En fait, il porte plusieurs chapeaux dans sa vie. Il est un enseignant passionné, un musicien polyvalent et un comédien, producteur et directeur pour la troupe Musicalmania! qui présente à travers l’Alberta. Marten Borch is a seasoned and versatile multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter with over two decades of captivating performances under his belt. Steeped in the essence of folk music, he weaves together a tapestry of influences, drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists such as Nathelie Mcmaster, Artie Shaw, Pink Floyd, and even Linkin Park. Throughout his career, Marten has crisscrossed the country taking his music to audiences at events and festivals. Alongside his band, The Borch Brothers, he has performed at gatherings like North Country Fair, Taste of Edmonton, Big Valley Jamboree, and Robson Valley Folk Festival. With heartfelt authenticity, Marten bares his emotions, taking listeners on an immersive journey through moments of pure joy and the depths of sadness, from fiery bursts of anger, to the beacon of hope, and finally, to the beauty that permeates life's simplest moments.

Jay Kuchinsky is a well established fiddler and music educator in Edmonton for almost 40 years. He is well versed in Ukrainian, Irish, and Métis fiddling and is passionate about learning and transcribing music in these genres. He is currently working on a music book entitled Ukrainian Fake Book; the dance music of North Central Alberta, as well he has taught Métis fiddle for 11 years at Ben Calf Robe school. His trio provides lively and dance-able instrumentals and songs.

Established in the fall of 2002 by the Association la Girandole, Zéphyr is a dance collective based in Edmonton which mainly focuses its repertoire on French-Canadian dance and high-level step dancing. The troupe will enhance your events and surprise your guests! Every year, Zéphyr performs on stage for the general public.

Being part of Zéphyr is much more than just a hobby! The quality of the productions that the troupe presents is based on the talent, work, commitment and professionalism of the performers. If you are over 16 and think you have the necessary talent and passion, know that Zéphyr is always looking for new artists. The dancers making up the troupe are selected after audition. Although experience in dance, theater and performance is an asset, we primarily assess candidates' learning and performing abilities.

We are a Fun family based group that loves to travel. Zorianka will be performing on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship to Alaska this coming July 2024.
