Sewepagaham (pronounced “see-wee-pay-ga-ham”) is from the Little Red River Cree Nation inside the Boreal Forest region of northern Alberta. Her Cree-Dene roots are expressed in original Cree and chant songs of healing, celebration, social justice, life journeys, and her love of family. She infuses the rhythms of the hide drum and rattle with the contemporary stylings of piano, cello and Latin percussion, using her training in both western and traditional music.
